Participation in this unique event will be limited to 50cars produced between 1925 and 1975 selected depending on their exceptional and historic character.

Theres no competitive element in the Rallye des Légendes Richard Mille, held over a three-day period on a star-shaped route which, every evening, will bring the participants back to the hub town. The event will explore a different French region every year whose diversity and hidden treasures will be highlighted; a daily leg of 250 kilometres maximum on the routes of famous special stages as well as runs on a circuit, visits to the hotspots of local patrimony, gastronomic lunches and dinners created by the greatest chefs as well as a night time break in top-class hotels.

Richard Mille, Peter Auto’s long-time partner in its events, is its first partner in this rally, which is the perfect embodiment of the values of exclusivity, know-how, elegance and perfection of the eponymous watch maker. The event will be held in September 2018.

Date Change for the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille

While the 4th Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille again met with great success among the participants and the public (the spectator attendance registered a 20% increase compared to 2016, reaching a total of 16,300 visitors), Peter Auto and Richard Mille have decided to change its date. F

aced with the complexity of organising an event of this scale at the beginning of September, the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille will now take place in July in odd-numbered years alternating with Le Mans Classic. Thus, the event’s organisation and development will enjoy perfect conditions to achieve an even more successful concours, which will be all the more eagerly awaited by collectors and visitors alike.

The next staging will take place in Chantilly in 2019. In the meantime, the classes in the Concours d’Etat will be revealed at the Peter Auto Press Conference at the next Rétromobile Exhibition.

“Although I’m a designer of avant-garde watches,” said Richard Mille, “I’m also a dyed-in-the-wool fan of classic cars which, in my opinion, are real works of art. Some of them are the incarnation of the major mechanical and aesthetic challenges of their era. Like Richard Mille watches they are objects of passion, generate emotions and their raison d’être is action. A vehicle’s beauty only truly comes alive when it’s moving! Thus, Patrick Peter and I are determined to create the Legends Rally and invite the most exclusive cars in the world to take part in it.”

“For Richard and me the creation of the Rallye des Légendes was an obvious step,” explained Patrick Peter. “We both prefer to see exceptional cars in action rather than on display. It’s also in keeping with the spirit of Peter Auto which, in 2010, created the Trofeo Nastro Rosso that allows owners of the most beautiful GT and Sports cars to take part in circuit races all year long while respecting strict sporting and ethical rules. The Rallye des Légendes is inspired by the same philosophy. Its aim is to become a rendezvous reserved exclusively for cars that have reached such an inestimable value that their owners no longer dare to drive them! Richard and I are going to create all the right conditions to make this possible again.”
