A statement on the Chateau Impney website has sadly drawn a veil over the event that has for five years now.
Full Statement:
“The 2019 Chateau Impney Hill Climb will be the last of this series of motoring events at Chateau Impney. Consequently, the 2020 event will unfortunately not be taking place. Hosting the Hill Climb has been an amazing 5 years.
“We set out: to create memorable experiences which consistently exceeded expectations, to create an event that felt exclusive but was incredibly inclusive and to deliver an event worthy of a recognisable award. We have achieved all the above and it is now time for us to bow out in style and focus on the exciting next chapter for Chateau Impney. We would like to thank all the partners, team and guests for their support over the years, as we couldn’t have done it without you, and we look forward to involving you in our future.
“We look back at the past five years through the testimonials of our visitors, which encapsulate their passion for motorsport:
- “In nearly 40 years of competing it was one of the best, if not the best hill climb event I've ever done. The whole weekend was just mega!”
- “Every year somehow you seem to be able to surpass the year before. What a fantastic event in a beautiful setting organised by an enthusiastic and passionate team. I’m so grateful to be invited and be able to contribute in my little way. It has something for everyone, and the way you look after us as entrants is exceptional!”
- “Thank you to the team for an absolutely epic weekend!”
