A historic highlight of the race season in the north of England will not take place in 2020 as news has reached us that the Croft Classic and Retro race meeting, formerly the Croft Nostalgia Weekend, will not take place. The track elements of the meeting, which has run for several years at the North Yorkshire circuit, were supplied by the HSCC, and it would appear that calendar issues have seen them unable to supply their usual range of grids for the event - they had nine categories racing at Croft last month.
Statement from Croft Circuit:
“Due to major changes within the British National Race Meeting Calendar, which have affected both the Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) and Croft Circuit, sadly we have not been able to find a suitable date for the Club to supply historic racing at Croft in 2020.
“As the HSCC support the Classic and Retro event (formerly known as the Nostalgia event) held annually in August since 2010, we have taken the decision to have a year out from running this event and all parties concerned hope that the event will return to Croft in 2021.”
