Gallery: Porsche 917s at Goodwood
A highlight of the 77th Goodwood Members’ Meeting was the array of historic Porsche 917s on show, including the freshly restored chassis 917 (the white car in the picture above), the Gulf-liveried 917K chassis 015, and the very first of the 917/30s, which was lapped by Derek Bell on Saturday afternoon.
Also out were the famous Sunoco-liveried 917/30 that dominated the Can-Am series in the hands of Mark Donohue - driven by Mark Webber in open helmet and goggles(!) - and a later 917/30 in Vaillant livery, all these cars bar the red 917/30 from Porsche’s Museum.
