Classic Nostalgia makes a welcome return to the Midland Automobile Club's Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb on the weekend of 20th–21st June 2020.
The annual flagship event is a firm favourite on the Shelsley racing calendar. The action-packed weekend attracts a wide variety of competition cars competing on the historic hill climb course, themed vehicle displays, celebrity drivers, parades, visiting car clubs, trade stands and non-stop live bands.
For 2020, Classic Nostalgia will celebrate the swinging sixties – a decade which saw a revolution in popular music, daring fashion, innovative technology and cool cars!
The weekend will feature a mouth-watering display of iconic 1960s historic race cars, thrilling demos, motor racing legends, a themed racing class, Group B rally cars and a special ‘Made in Britain’ display.
“Our celebrated marque will be sports and racing car manufacturer Lotus, synonymous with privateer racers, trialists and - of course - Formula One Championship successes,” said Gary Hall, General Manager of Shelsley Walsh, “with the likes of Moss, Hill and Clark behind the wheel. We are delighted to be working closely with Lotus aficionado and specialist Paul Matty, Lotus Cars and Club Lotus. The special display will hark back to the Sixties from ‘baby’ Elans, Elites, and Europas to rare and powerful racing cars –each providing a ‘back to the future’ celebration of the great British brand. We welcome all Lotus owners and clubs to take part.”
