Each year one of the biggest highlights of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance are the seminars traditionally held on Friday and Saturday. These gatherings annually bring together the biggest names in the automotive industry for an insiders’ chat about the chosen topic. This year the seminars were centered, as they often are, on motorsports. The first was ‘Racing Around the Rules’, a discussion that covered some of the most creative ways that rulebooks have been read through the years.
Then on Saturday, in honor of the Porsche 962 being the featured car at the 24th Concours, a group of personalities who were the drivers and rule makers from the car’s heyday got together to bring the venerable race winner back to life through their stories, memories and a few laughs!
