Video - Dave Karaskas talks to Historic Racing News.com

At Oulton Park Gold Cup meeting we spoke to historic racer Dave Karaskas about the MG Midget he raced in the 70s Roadsports events at that meeting, and his historic career which includes contesting the Thoroughbred Grand Prix series in a March and then an Arrows A4. A veteran of over 400 races, including racing Formula Ford 2000 against Ayrton Senna, Dave has a wealth of experience in front line motorsport as well as the classic scene.

Having started at Brands Hatch as a marshal in 1969, a visit to the famous Jim Russell Racing School in 1974 saw him race several seasons of Formula Ford before that FF2000 season in 1983 against Senna. The Midget is his ‘retirement’ car, but, as Dave explains, the competitive bug still bites and he enjoys hounding more powerful cars in the 1275cc machine.
