The Historic Sports Car Club has opened up the class structure for its Historic Touring Car Championship for 2020.
The rules for the championship for Pre '66 Touring Cars will be changed to allow 1300cc Austin A30s, A35s, A40s and Morris Minors to join the grid. Previously, these cars were only admitted with engines up to 1150cc.
The HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship has a strong calendar of races at prime events and the 2020 schedule will include races on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit at the Legends of Brands meeting and at the Oulton Park Gold Cup. The provisional schedule includes double-headers at Donington Park and Oulton Park.
Andy Dee-Crowne, CEO of the HSCC said: "This is a logical step to offer a group of cars the chance to race with the HSCC. We hope some more drivers with cars like these will come and join us, either on a regular basis or for individual races. They will be made very welcome."
